1. What is your elevator pitch?

LSee is the first metabolic tracker that allows people to get the best combination of food and activity to burn body fat according to their metabolism. LSee analyses a single drop of your blood to optimize your weight loss and achieve your goals.Screen Shot 2016-03-27 at 1.38.51 PM

2. Problem & Solution

Overweight is a concern for 2Bn people in the world and despite the numerous solutions for weight loss (diets, activity trackers, fitness centers…), only a few reach their goals.

This failure is mainly due to inadequate solutions that do not take into account a person’s unique genetic and metabolic condition.

At LSee we are convinced that it is necessary to understand how your body reacts when you eat or when you practice sports. After many years of R&D in labs, LSee has come up with its metabolic tracker to help people find their own way to burn body fat with a single drop of blood. We avoid unnecessary privations and useless efforts. We provide personalized and real time feedback on the best-suited food and sport for your metabolism.

3. Market – your target market and the overall market

Over 2Bn people are overweight, spending $6Bn (North America + EU) on inefficient diets and workout programs (WeightWatchers, LesMills) that ignore the huge genetic and metabolic diversity among people, and on tracking devices or scales (FitBit, Withings) that do not measure fat burn productivity of nutrition or physical exercise.

Our target market includes sports amateurs, athletes and overweight go-getter.

LSee has come up with a disruptive solution for losing weight, so any consumer can adapt his efforts in real time to his metabolism, and eliminate useless privation.

4. Business Model – how do you make money?

LSee will sell its metabolic tracker online and in specialized stores in 2017. We will launch a Kickstarter campaign at the end of year 2016 for pre-order. Our app will be free and we will have a Pro version for sports coaches, nutritionists and fitness centers. We will also sell disposable strips to operate the tracker.

Cyril is a scientist and entrepreneur. He has a PhD in molecular genetics and has already founded 2 innovating companies in the fields of nano-electronics and life sciences. Now he wants to think global with LSee.

Johan Moonen, Chief Operations Officer

Nicolas Chignard, Chief Scientific Officer

Nicolas has a PhD in Physiology and Patho-physiology. He was assistant professor at University Pierre and Marie Curie before creating the biotech company Inovarion. His goal is to mix science and technology into a well-designed product.

Ludovic Jolly, Chief Marketing Officer

Ludovic is a digital native that holds an MBA in marketing and e-commerce. He is totally dedicated into sport, healthy lifestyle, digital marketing and social media. He wants to create the next big name in the IoT industry.

6. What else do you want the audience to know about your venture?

LSee wants to offer an alternative to weight loss solutions that combines advances in science, technology, IoT, mobile and big data. Our team desires to change the way people experience their bodies. We want to help people to make the right decisions concerning their health wit LSee.

We are all passionate about sport and learned that if you want to perform, you have to give your best. So we do the same with our start-up.

Bonus Question: If you were to invite any CEO to dinner who would it be and why?

It will be Stewart Butterfield, the CEO of Slack and previous co-founder of Flickr.

In just 2 years, Slack rapid adoption makes it one of the fastest-growing business software applications in the world. It is revolutionizing the way people communicate in business. We think it should be interesting to talk with him about the evolution of communication in today’s society.
