Astros' Correa Stars Alongside Craig Biggio In New Commercials for H-E-B Supermarket Chain

Astros SS Carlos Correa and new Texans QB Brock Osweiler will be the latest Houston-area sports figures to "star in an H-E-B supermarket commercial" as part of separate long-term deals with the grocery store chain, according to Ken Hoffman of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. Correa and Osweiler will appear in ads with H-E-B Division President Scott McClelland. Correa "will film three 30-second commercials next month" with McClelland and Baseball HOFer Craig Biggio and McClelland that "start airing in May." Correa's pet charity "is the Restless for the Cause campaign for Houston Children's Charity." Part of Correa's contract with H-E-B has the supermarket "making a sizable donation" to the Restless for the Cause charity, which "provides beds for underprivileged children." Meanwhile, Osweiler's three 30-second spots with McClelland and Texans DE J.J. Watt "will hit airwaves in June." Osweiler and Watt "have the same agent, John Caplin," while H-E-B "worked through" Astros President of Business Operations Reid Ryan to land Correa. H-E-B "began using Houston sports stars in commercials" in '07 (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 3/29).
