Sabres Raise Season-Ticket Prices For '16-17, Continuing Trend Under Owner Terry Pegula

Season-ticket prices for Sabres fans next season "are going up," with an increase of about 4% "across the board," according to John Vogl of the BUFFALO NEWS. The "largest hike" at First Niagara Center is in 100 Level II (4.48%) and the "smallest bounce" is in 300 Level II (2.78%). The prices for next season will "range from $29 to $116 per game." The cost of seeing a home game "has skyrocketed" since Owner Terry Pegula purchased the Sabres in February '11. A season-ticket holder sitting above the faceoff circle in the Sabres’ zone in '10-11 "paid $51 per game." Next season, the price "will be $70" -- an increase of 37.3%. The price increases from '10-11 to '16-17 range from 26.9% to 41.2%. As usual, fans will receive 2.5% of their season-ticket price "back in a SabreBucks rebate card to be used in First Niagara Center or HarborCenter." Season-ticket holders will also "get a free ticket to see a minor-league game" featuring the AHL Rochester Americans (BUFFALO NEWS, 3/25).
