Target Center Unveils Massive New Video Boards As Part Of Ongoing Renovation

The T'Wolves and WNBA Lynx yesterday unveiled their "massive new video boards" at Target Center, which will be "installed this summer as part of the arena's renovation," according to Marino Eccher of the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. The four above-court displays "measure 18 feet high by 33 feet wide," and will be "supplemented by a series of smaller screens above the court and around the arena." The above-court display is "about as big as one of the old video boards" at the Metrodome (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 3/24). In Minneapolis, Kent Youngblood noted the venue will now have the "largest center-hung scoreboard in the Upper Midwest." The 15-display scoreboard will have a "total of 4,300 square feet of display space." In addition, multiple "new displays will be installed around the arena" (STARTRIBUNE.com, 3/23).
