In this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, Adam Stern reports Fuel Sports Management Group agent DAVID JESSEY is leaving the firm after five years "to revive his old company that will focus on running large-scale athlete charity events and brokering sponsorships." Jessey "will operate the company out of Charlotte under the + Jessey Sports moniker and run charity events in conjunction with Charleston, S.C.-based Empire Sports Management." Jessey "previously held roles at companies including Richard Petty Motorsports, Bank of America and Raycom Sports." Plans for the company "include creating two new charity events with goals of raising more than $1 million each, finding opportunities to sell for properties, and bringing potential sponsors to the motorsports space" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/21 issue).
