Weekend Plans With 120 Sports' Jason Coyle: Product Launch, Notre Dame Basketball

As the President of 120 Sports, JASON COYLE doesn't get a lot of free time. And with the digital sports outlet soon expanding its programming, the weeks ahead offer even less. "It's an ambitious opportunity, but we've positioned ourselves to become America's over-the-top sports network." he said. When he does have downtime on the weekends, Coyle, based in Chicago, likes to spend it with his wife and two children, and maybe slip in a Notre Dame game.

WORKING OVERTIME: Friday, I'll be at work late. We're live streaming from 10:00pm-2:00am ET and producing quick-turn coverage in the hours leading up to the full live product. We're introducing and testing some of our new formats, so I'll be around here late.

DOWN THE BEND: We're tentatively planning on going to the Notre Dame basketball game in South Bend on Saturday. My family are all big Notre Dame fans. I went there. We usually pick a game a year to drive down to, watch it, go out to eat at our favorite spots, then go back. My favorite place in the world to eat is Rocco's. We used to go there every Friday night when I was in school.

EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM: Sunday mornings, I typically get up at a normal work time. Work for about three to four hours. I'm a pretty early riser. Then by 8:30-9:00am, the family will wake up and we'll have the rest of the morning. We try to pack a lot of family time into our weekends. I coach my daughter's softball team, which is just coming up. And then I'm helping coach my son's Little League team this year as well. Really, I like to not do a whole lot. Relax and hang out with the kids.

HOLIDAY ROAD: We're trying to plan a summer vacation to drive Route 66. We love seeing every state. I've been to 49 of the 50 states (the exception: North Dakota). We love taking road trips. We love seeing every state. I've never driven Route 66, so we're going to take about a week-and-a-half and that's our plan right now. We're trying to find out exactly when we're able to do it, but Kansas through Oklahoma and down through Texas, New Mexico, end up in California. It really should be great. We like being together as a family. The kids do pretty well in the car. I love to drive. We typically do a lot of driving in our vacations. Next year we'll probably go overseas, but I'd really like the kids to see the country first.
