Dynamo Announce English-Language Radio Calls Will Move To Local CBS-Owned Stations

The Dynamo on Thursday "got a boost" for team's media profile "with word that its English-language radio game broadcasts will move this season" to CBS Radio stations KILT-AM and KIKK-AM, according to David Barron of the HOUSTON CHRONICLE. Dynamo games "previously aired" on KGOW-AM. Dynamo President Chris Canetti said, "It's a very positive result for the Dynamo. (KILT) is a leader in sports radio in this city through their association with the Texans, and it says a lot that we were able to have an opportunity to partner with them." While details of the deal remain private, KILT Program Dir Ryan McCredden said that the arrangement "was a rights deal and not a time buy." Barron noted the deal also "includes a half-hour pregame show and two weekly features shows" that will air on KIKK and KKHH-FM. There has "yet to be a decision on who will call the games and who will be the Dynamo's Spanish radio outlet" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 2/18).
