Buyers & Sellers: Reggie Bush Part Of Investor Group Purchasing $9M Beverly Hills Mansion

A group of professional athlete investors, including 49ers RB REGGIE BUSH, has "purchased a Beverly Hills home" for $8.95M with the "intention of developing the property." Marketed as an investment opportunity, the home on a corner lot of more than half an acre "came to market in March" for $9.95M. Proposed renderings "show a multilevel contemporary with walls of glass, a subterranean parking structure and an infinity-edge swimming pool" (LATIMES.com, 10/30).

BUYERS & SELLERS: NFL Panthers C RYAN KALIL has bought a home in the Gaslight District of Manhattan Beach, Calif., for $3.3M. The property "centers on a 1950s ranch-style house with 1,842 square feet of living space in a single story." It also includes "three bedrooms and two bathrooms" as well as an "attached two-car garage" (LATIMES.com, 11/3)....Chiefs QB ALEX SMITH is "selling his home in Monte Sereno, Calif., for the asking price" of $3.999M. Smith "bought the house" in '11 for $3,627,500. It features 4,650 square feet, with exterior details including a "flagstone patio with an outdoor kitchen, a fire ring and a professional bocce ball court" (LATIMES.com, 11/1)....Former MLBer BARRY ZITO has "sold a home" in Pasadena, Calif., for $1.495M. The "traditional-style cottage on a corner lot was built in 1951" and includes 2,200 square feet of living space. Also on the more than quarter-acre property "is an attached two-car garage." Zito bought the home for $1.4M in '07. Zito now has "divested himself of four properties over the last 11 months" (LATIMES.com, 11/4)....Blackhawks C MARCUS KRUGER last week "paid $852,500 to buy a recently renovated three-bedroom condo in a vintage building" in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. Actor JEFF GARLIN in '10 "paid $591,700 for a three-bedroom unit on the second floor" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 11/5)....Former wrestler BRET HART "has pinned down a sale on Hawaii's Big Island, selling his retreat" in Kailua-Kona for $705,000. Hart "bought the house" in '04 for $675,000. Within the 2,604 square feet of living space is a "great room with a wet bar, a center-island kitchen, an office, three bedrooms and three bathrooms" (LATIMES.com, 10/31).
