Fox Networks Group Exec VP/Advertising Sales Bruce Lefkowitz said that the net "had sold more inventory" for the Royals-Mets World Series Games 1-5 than it has in "recent memory." AD AGE's Anthony Crupi reported Lefkowitz has "taken advantage of an active financial services/insurance market to attract seven new World Series clients," a roster that includes MetLife, Esurance, Edward Jones and Navy Federal Credit Union. Lefkowitz: "We did a major press on the category, because the demography of baseball is more upscale and slightly older" (ADAGE.com, 10/27).

BEEMER BALL: USOC sponsor BMW has selected a team of three Olympians and five Paralympians to lead its marketing efforts around the '16 Rio Games. The Olympic team includes include swimmers Tyler Clary, Nathan Adrian and Maya DiRado. The Paralympians, all track & field athletes, include Tatyana McFadden, Josh George, April Holmes, Aaron Pike and Chelsea McClammer. Athletes receive use of a BMW vehicle, adapted as needed, for the duration of their contract. A source also said the deals come with cash considerations in the low-to-mid five figures, though BMW declined to comment on financial terms (Ben Fischer, Staff Writer).

OYO VEY! In N.Y., Peter Schwartz reported Oyo Sports "has come up with a limited edition series of mini-figures featuring" the black-and-white look of the Islanders' new third jersey. The figures were "shipped to the Islanders team store at Barclays Center and the NHL Store." There "are a few players that are available in the black and white jerseys," including C John Tavares, RW Kyle Okposo and LW Matt Martin (NEWYORK.CBSLOCAL.com, 10/26).
