Interim Texas men’s AD MIKE PERRIN yesterday "reversed one of the controversial decisions made by his predecessor STEVE PATTERSON" and rehired JOHN BIANCO, the school’s longtime SID who "was fired in June," as Associate AD. Bianco "will resume his duties with the football program immediately" and "will have the same salary of approximately $125,000 annually" (STATESMAN.com, 10/26).

TAPPING OUT: The exec who oversaw the UFC’s move into video game licensing and helped launch the UFCFit home workout program has left the organization. DON GOLD, who joined the UFC as Exec VP/Entertainment in '03 and worked on MMA events going back to the first PPV in '93, said that he will return to L.A., where he worked as an entertainment exec before joining the UFC full time (Bill King, Senior Writer).

EXECS: Fox Sports promoted consultant BARBARA BLANGIARDI to Senior VP/Strategies & Creative Partnerships, a newly created position. Blangiardi previously worked as NBC Universal's Senior VP/Olympic Marketing (CABLEFAX DAILY, 10/27)....The Union named Dutch soccer club AZ Alkmaar Dir of Football Affairs EARNIE STEWART Sporting Dir, effective Jan. 1. Stewart "will oversee and guide all Union technical and soccer-related decisions," working closely with the club's new Lehigh Valley USL team and the Union's Youth Academy (BIZJOURNALS.com, 10/26)....EPL club Manchester United named Sportech CFO & BOD member CLIFF BATY CFO (Man U)....Korn Ferry hired SportsDesk Media Manager of Business Development KYLE BOWLSBY for its sports practice (Korn Ferry)....Hershey Dir of Promotions & Planning DREW IDDINGS is ending his 13-year run with the candy company Friday. He will be replaced by Hershey Dir of Partnership Marketing DAVID PALMER (THE DAILY)....The U.S. Soccer Foundation appointed The Messina Group President & CEO JIM MESSINA to its BOD (USSF)....Miami-based RBB Communications named Catalyst IMG Account Dir MARLON LEWINTER to the same position (THE DAILY).
