In N.Y., Sydney Ember notes Knicks F Carmelo Anthony has joined Vice Media’s sports site as a founding partner of The Clubhouse, a new channel where well-known athletes, including Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, "will host their own video series." Vice Sports Publisher Will Kiersky said that The Clubhouse, whose first sponsor is DraftKings, "will feature shows that focus on life beyond the stadium." Anthony "will look at sports cultures around the world in his series 'Stay Melo.'" In the first episode, Anthony "goes to Cuba to examine the country’s rising interest in soccer" (N.Y. TIMES, 9/2).

NEXT GENERATION: USA TODAY's Mike Hembree reports 14-year-old Karsyn Elledge, daughter of JR Motorsports co-Owner Kelley Earnhardt Miller "is the new host" of "NASCAR Hammer Down," a TV series produced by NASCAR Productions airing on Nicktoons. The second season of the show, which premieres Sept. 30, features Elledge "interviewing NASCAR drivers and hosting a variety of features." Elledge interviewed Joey Logano, Austin Dillon, Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson and her uncle, Dale Earnhardt Jr., "about topics such as their favorite foods and colors" (USATODAY.com, 9/1).
