Brad Paisley To Perform Series Of Free Concerts At IMG Schools Around FB Games

Country music singer Brad Paisley will perform several free concerts prior to or following college football games this year. The "Country Nation College Tour presented by Zaxby's" will travel to various IMG partner schools, beginning with Virginia Tech on Sept. 6. Paisley, who is repped by WME, will play three shows at Texas, Baylor and Arkansas the following weekend, with additional schools and dates being announced later. In addition to the concert series, Paisley again will be a spokesperson for IMG's "College Colors Day," in which college fans are encouraged to wear their school's colors the Friday before Labor Day. Arkansas AD Jeff Long in a statement said, "This was the type of big-picture collaboration that we all envisioned when WME and IMG College came together" (IMG). In Roanoke, Andy Bitter notes the Paisley concert at VT will be held in the Cassell Coliseum parking lot the "night before the Hokies' much-anticipated football season opener against Ohio State" (ROANOKE.com, 8/19). Meanwhile, the Arkansas show will not take place at the school's Fayetteville campus, but instead "outside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock" following UA's Sept. 12 game against Toledo (ARKANSASONLINE.com, 8/19).
