Jeff Fisher Plans On Discussing Possibility Of Moving To L.A. With Rams Players

The Rams' training camp begins tomorrow, and coach Jeff Fisher "plans to discuss the L.A. situation with the squad over the next few days," according to Jim Thomas of the ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH. Fisher was the coach of the Oilers when they moved from Houston to Memphis and then Nashville in the mid '90s and became the Titans, and yesterday he said, "I went through this before. I went through it for three years. The important thing for the players to realize is it’s all out of our control. I don’t have any answers. I’ve not asked any questions. We’re playing here (in St. Louis)." He noted he has a "great relationship" with Rams Owner Stan Kroenke and said, "If the time comes when I want to know what’s going with Stan, I’ll ask. I haven’t asked because it doesn’t affect us right now." Thomas reports ticket sales for the Rams' home opener against the Seahawks on Sept. 13 "are lagging, more so because of the potential move than the fact that the Rams haven’t had a winning record" since '03. When it comes to the "level of fan support at the Edward Jones Dome, Fisher is simply hoping for the best." He said, "What we’re hoping for is they’ll see the improvement in this team, and they’ll come watch us" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 7/30).
