Buyers & Sellers: Shigeki Maruyama Sells Bel-Air Estate For $14.75M

Golfer SHIGEKI MARUYAMA sold his 13,300-square-foot home in Bel-Air for $14.75M. The modern-style home went on the market in '13 for $19.8M and "was more recently priced" at $16.5M. Maruyama "bought the house" in '04 for $7.6M. Set on a "3.2-acre promontory, the three-story home features floor-to-ceiling glass, multi-level walkways, a glass-enclosed elevator and outdoor terraces that take in downtown, reservoir and ocean views," as well as a lighted tennis court (LATIMES.com, 6/24)....Former tennis player LINDSAY DAVENPORT is "selling a single-level home in Laguna Beach’s Emerald Bay" for $3.25M. The 2,134-square-foot residence "is set on a corner lot" and has "three bedrooms, a formal living room with an antique brick fireplace, and an open floor plan spanning the kitchen, dining and family rooms" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 6/24)....49ers RB REGGIE BUSH "listed his home in Birmingham, Mich., for sale" at $2.495M. The Prairie Modern-style home "is distinguished by a slightly-pitched roofline, clerestory windows and walls of floor-to-ceiling glass" with "5.5 bathrooms in some 8,000 square feet of space." Bush last year "sold a three-story Contemporary home in Hollywood Hills West" for $5.7M and "maintains other property in the L.A. area" (LATIMES.com, 6/25)....NBA Kings F RUDY GAY listed his Memphis mansion for $2.2M. The residence features "8,373 square feet of splendor, apparently, with four bedrooms, five full and two half bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, a media room with projection-style screen, and lots of chandeliers." The house "sits on 1.6 acres and overlooks Galloway golf course." Gay bought it in '10 for approximately $1.18M (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 6/20).
