In West Palm Beach, Matt Porter reported a user on the message board CanesInsight.com "posted an image of a placard showing" six new adidas uniform designs for the Univ. of Miami football team. The image "is blurry and of unclear origin, and appears to be taken in the UM equipment room." A source said that the designs shown in the image "are close to the real thing … but they are not quite the real thing." Sources said that the new jerseys "have a simple, retro feel to them -- absent some of the wilder designs Adidas has rolled out for other programs" (PALM BEACH POST, 6/24).

BRYCE AS NICE: In DC, Scott Allen reported Nationals RF Bryce Harper "shot a commercial with model Nina Agdal two weeks ago" in which he battles her "for a New Era All-Star Game cap." Harper and Agdal "go head-to-head in several competitions, including running, bubble-blowing, tire rolling, chess and modeling" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 6/23).
