Bucks Expect To Take In $4-6M Annually From Naming Rights For New Arena

Bucks President Peter Feigin said that the team anticipates "signing an arena naming rights deal" worth between $4-6M annually for the franchise's proposed new home, according to Rich Kirchen of the MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. Feigin: "In like-minded markets, they've gone for $4 million to $6 million." Team Services LLC Principal E.J. Narcise said, "It'll be on the higher end and could stretch the higher end" (MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL, 6/19 issue). Meanwhile, in Milwaukee, Tom Daykin noted the Bucks' proposed new arena "might lack one of the defining features of the BMO Harris Bradley Center: ice." AHL Milwaukee Admirals Owner & CEO Harris Turer: "We do not believe we will be part of the new arena." The Bucks' owners said that a decision "hasn't yet been made about whether the future arena would include the ability to host the Admirals." But Turer said that he "already has started what he calls 'very preliminary discussions' with Wisconsin Center District officials about a possible lease at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, where the Admirals would share dates with the UWM men's basketball team and other tenants." He hopes that he will "determine within the next year the location of the Admirals' future Milwaukee home" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 6/20).
