Disney CFO JAY RASULO, "who earlier this year was passed over" for the company's No. 2 spot, "will step down from his post at the end of the month." Rasulo and THOMAS STAGGS "had competed" for the COO role, "which is widely seen as a grooming post for the company's next CEO." Disney Chair & CEO BOB IGER is "expected to retire when his contract expires" in '18. Disney said that the company would announce a new CFO "at a later date." Rasulo "will serve as an adviser to Iger after vacating his current position." Analysts said that Rasulo could go "perhaps to a top job at another entertainment and media firm" (L.A. TIMES, 6/2).

SKATING PARTNERS: The Coyotes named hockey analytics firm Stathletes Dir of Hockey Operations JOHN CHAYKA Assistant GM/Analytics. The team also promoted Senior Dir of Hockey Operations CHRIS O'HEARN to Assistant GM/Hockey Operations. Coyotes Senior VP & Assistant GM DARCY REGIER also will take on the role of AHL Springfield Falcons GM (Coyotes)....The Maple Leafs named Nets Strength & Conditioning Coach DR. JEREMY BETTLE Dir of Sports Science & Performance. The Leafs also "let go long time strength coach ANTHONY BELZA as part of the spring purge" by President BRENDAN SHANAHAN (TORONTOSUN.com, 6/1).

EXECS: LA84 Foundation President ANITA DEFRANTZ announced that she is stepping down from that role, which she has held for the past 28 years.
