Falcons Already Have Generated $77M From Club Seats PSL Sales For New Stadium

The Falcons have generated $77M in revenue from PSL sales tied to club seats for their new stadium, according to Legends VP/Sales & Services Michael Drake, whose company is the team’s sales agency. Legends started the sales process for relocating Georgia Dome club-seat holders in late January at the Falcons’ preview center, and the campaign concluded in late May. To this point, 54% of the 7,500 total club seats are sold. The $1.5B stadium opens in '17. “Considering the short time frame ... based off past Legends NFL projects (including Levi’s Stadium), I am ecstatic,” Drake said. "I couldn’t have expected this much success.” The team is well ahead of internal projections for PSL sales, although Drake declined to provide a number because the Georgia World Congress Center Authority has not approved pricing for seat licenses and tickets for the balance of the 71,000-seat stadium. Seat licenses cover the entire stadium. The authority is expected to approve the second phase of pricing tomorrow, covering the remainder of the stadium, and Legends will meet with the Falcons’ remaining season-ticket holders over the next five months, Drake said. As of today, 68% of the total Founders Club seats are sold, including more than 90% of the seats on the home side. Those seats, between the 45-yard lines on both sides of the stadium in the lower bowl, carry the most expensive PSL at $45,000 a seat. In addition, 97% of Piedmont Club seats are sold. Those seats, situated mid-level along both sidelines, carry $10,000 licenses. Club-seat ticket prices cost $325-385 a person per game depending on location.
