Rickie Fowler won this year's tourney in sudden death after a three-hole aggregate playoff, while Martin Kaymer won last year's event. While coverage was up from '14, NBC was down sharply compared to '13, as the net drew a 5.0 rating and 7.6 million viewers for Tiger Woods' win.
STILL FLYING HIGH: The Hawks' NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals Game 5 win over the Wizards on Wednesday garnered an 11.0 local rating in Atlanta, making it the most-watched game in the market in franchise history. The team's 11 postseason games this season are averaging a 7.2 rating in Atlanta, up 67% from last season, when the team was eliminated in seven games in the first round.
NIGHT RANGERS: Wednesday's Rangers-Capitals Game 7 drew a 1.6 rating and averaged 2.7 million viewers on NBCSN, making it the third-most watched NHLConference Semifinal game ever on cable. Meanwhile, NBC Sports Live Extra had 151,000 unique visitors and 8.2 million minutes watched, making the game its best NHL stream for an NBCSN game (THE DAILY).
