NFLPA Suspends Agent Marc Lillibridge Certification To Represent Players

The NFLPA has suspended agent Marc Lillibridge’s certification to represent players for violations of its regulations, the union yesterday announced on its website. Lillibridge, Pro Football Syndicate President & CEO, did not return an e-mail or a phone call seeking comment. Lillibridge was certified by the NFLPA in '07 and reps about 16 players, including Ravens CB Lardarius Webb and Browns RB Terrance West. Lillibridge also reps about 15 NFL draft-eligible players, although none of them are seen as projected first-round picks. When the NFLPA’s Committee on Agent Regulation & Discipline suspends an agent, the agent cannot represent players in discussions with clubs. The player clients of the suspended agent are immediately free to sign with other agents. Lillibridge was suspended under the “extraordinary circumstances” provision of the union's agent regulations “due to repeated violations of a serious nature,” the NFLPA said in its statement. The union did not detail the charges against Lillibridge.
