Buyers & Sellers: Lakers' Kobe Bryant Finds Buyer For $6.4M L.A.-Area Mansion

Lakers G KOBE BRYANT's 8,471-square-foot home in the Pelican Ridge community of south L.A. "is in escrow." The asking price for the home is $6.45M, "several price chops below" the $8.59M price tag in August '13. The four-bedroom home "includes a shark tank in a large office/library." It also features a "hair salon, home theater with a lobby, and an 850-square-foot gym." The home with private gates also includes "an 'extra-deep' swimming pool, spa, lush gardens, a fire pit and an outdoor kitchen" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 4/22). 

SOLD! Seahawks coach PETE CARROLL "has sold his waterfront house" in Hunts Point, Wa., for $6.1M. Carroll "bought the house" last May for $5.9M. The three-bedroom, four-bathroom home "sits on about a third of an acre" (PUGET SOUND BUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/17 issue)....Golfer JORDAN SPIETH recently paid $2.3M for a Dallas-area 7,400-square-foot home, which includes five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. It also features two 12-foot stone islands in the chef's kitchen, a "288-bottle wine closet," a media room, game room and an office with "2 story ceilings and paneled doors leading to computer work stations" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 4/22)....Former NHLer MICHAL HANDZUS "has sold his home" in Hermosa Beach, Calif., for $4.085M. He listed the home in October for $4.199M and paid $3.7M for it in '08 (LATIMES.com, 4/21)....Former NHLer OWEN NOLAN sold his home in San Jose for $4M. The 9,464-square-foot house sits on more than three acres and includes "five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and three powder rooms" (LATIMES.com, 4/22)....Blackhawks D NIKLAS HJALMARSSON last week sold his four-bedroom, 4,000-square-foot Chicago town house for $1.7M, which was "far more" than the $1.32M he paid for it in '10. It includes "3-1/2 baths, four levels, hardwood floors" and custom closets (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 4/20).

GOING ON THE MARKET: Former MLBer DAMION EASLEY has listed his 14,731-square-foot Glendale, Calif., home for $5.5M. The home "features a ballpark vibe with custom baseball field-themed showers, a bedroom with a scoreboard mural, a trophy gallery and a gym with an indoor batting cage." The six-bedroom, 8.5-bathroom home also includes a "whiffle-ball field, a putting green, a sports court, a sunken trampoline" and a lagoon-style pool and spa with a water slide (LATIMES.com, 4/20)....MLB agent SCOTT BORAS has put his Newport Beach, Calif. home on the market for $3.525M. The 4,150-square-foot, Mediterranean-style home "has raised ceilings, archways and wrought iron finishes throughout" (LATIMES.com, 4/17)....FS1's MATT LEINART put his Manhattan Beach, Calif., home "back on the market" for about $2.4M, up from $2.059M last year (LATIMES.com, 4/20)....Indians 1B coach SANDY ALOMAR JR. has listed his four-bedroom Chicago-area home for $1.43M. Alomar last month listed the 4,200-square-foot home for $1.55M, but cut his asking price, and the home "went under contract" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 4/21).
