OneUp Sports Acquires Tixers To Make It Easier For Fans To Buy And Sell Tickets

Today, Tixers, an intermediary ticketing outlet was acquired by OneUp Sports, which creates mobile sports platforms that offer a live-sports experience by utilizing mobile and social technology, live sports data and content.

Tixers has a credit-exchange solution that allows ticket holders to turn in unusable tickets for future tickets without having to go through the trouble of reaching out to a third party or physically delivering the unusable ticket. This technology will serve as another core revenue gathering feature on OneUp’s team app platform while delivering an efficient ticketing service to fans that utilize OneUp’s products.

OneUp has already integrated its team app with multiple professional franchises including the Washington Redskins, Los Angeles Lakers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. They have also secured an exclusive licensing partnership with the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, and the PGA Tour to offer users a live-play, social sports, 2nd screen game experience called Connect.

Daren Trousdell, CEO of OneUp Sports is thrilled with the new acquisition and went on to say, “The revolutionary and progressive Tixers ticketing platform will provide an enhanced ticket experience for the fan bases of our partners and affiliates.”

Alex Burkhart, Founder & CEO of Tixers was also happy with the acquisition and expressed his excitement to join forces with OneUp Sports in a press release today. He added, “We look forward to continuing to expand our unique ticket trading model that has the potential to revolutionize the ticketing landscape that exists today.”

Ticket holders no longer have to worry about missing a game or not being able to sell a ticket on time with this new partnership. But they are not the only ones benefitting. OneUp Sports gets to acquire the technology to help those ticket holders ut while Tixers gets to reach even more people and help them with their ticketing needs.
