Boston-based coaching site CoachUp Founder & President Jordan Fliegel said that Warriors G Stephen Curry will get a "substantial" equity stake in the company as part of a recently announced deal. Fliegel added that Curry will be among the firm's "largest shareholders." He said of Curry, "He’ll have a real voice in the direction of the company." Fliegel added that talks between himself and Curry "started more than a year ago after a mutual friend connected the two" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 3/31).

BEAM ME UP, SCOTTIE: The CHICAGO TRIBUNE reported "one lucky Bulls fan will win a night of basketball dreams" at United Center sponsored by Airbnb," with Basketball HOFer Scottie Pippen serving as host. The prize includes "VIP access to pregame and postgame activities and an overnight stay in the owner's suite." The winner "will receive a custom Bulls jersey upon arrival ... and then head to the floor for a tour and courtside seat for team warm-ups and a pregame dinner" (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 3/30).

SIMPLY REFRESHING: THE ECONOMIC TIMES' Ratna Bhushan reported Coca-Cola "is picking up a 10% equity stake" in the Int'l Premier Tennis League. The deal is estimated at about US$3M, and Coca-Cola will add up to 10% equity "over a period of time." This "could stretch" over a three-year period. An official involved in the developments said that final closure of the deal "is in process" (ECONOMIC TIMES, 3/30).
