NBCU has given Exec VP/Hispanic Group Ad Sales MIKE ROSEN "broader duties," as he will "start overseeing ad sales for the company's news programs in addition to its Spanish-language properties." The move comes as NBC Sports and NBC News Group Exec VP/Sales & Sales Marketing SETH WINTER, who "has supervised ad sales for all of the company's live programming, will focus more intently on sports, where the company is adding more content." NBCU Chair of Ad Sales & Client Partnerships LINDA YACCARINO said, "In addition to next year’s Summer Olympics in Rio, we also have a watershed year coming up in the 2017-18 upfront as we will have the three biggest properties in media: the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics and the Men’s World Cup on Telemundo, all within four months of each other" (VARIETY.com, 3/25).

EXECS: Quiksilver promoted President PIERRE AGNES to CEO and added him to the BOD. He succeeds ANDY MOONEY, who is no longer with the company. The company also promoted APAC Region President GREG HEALY to President and appointed BOB MCKNIGHT Chair. In addition, EMEA Region CFO THOMAS CHAMBOLLE was promoted to CFO, effective April 3. He succeeds RICHARD SHIELDS, who resigned (Quiksilver)....The Hockey HOF named LANNY MCDONALD Chair, "filling the vacancy left by the Nov. 23 death" of PAT QUINN. The HOF also reappointed Flames President of Hockey Operations BRIAN BURKE, journalist MARC DE FOY, HOFer MIKE GARTNER and former NHLer ANDERS HEDBERG "to a further term on the selection committee" (TORONTO STAR, 3/26)....The Galaxy promoted Manager of Analytics & Research TOM BRAUN to Dir of Business Operations (THE DAILY)....Oregon State Univ. named Stony Brook Univ. Manager of Arena Operations JAKE GIBSON Assistant AD/Facilities & Operations, and promoted intern TREVOR CRAMER to Assistant AD/Athletic Communications. The school also brought on Western Michigan Univ. Manager of Ticket Sales RUSS AMIDON as part of a ticket marketing and sales collaboration with the Pac-12 Conference (OSU)....Southern Univ. AD WILLIAM BROUSSARD "has been temporarily reassigned to the Southern System's President's Office but is expected to return to his old post in August." The school named men's basketball coach ROMAN BANKS interim AD (NOLA.com, 3/26)....Special Olympics World Winter Games ’17 named DALE SHUMANSKI Exec Dir for Client Entertainment & Event Operations. Shumanski was Hospitality & Special Events Dir for N.Y. Road Runners and the TCS N.Y. Marathon for nine years (Special Olympics)....The National Golf Course Owners Association named NGCOA Georgia Exec Dir MATT BROWN NGCOA North Carolina Exec Dir (NGCOA).
