The move comes as NBC Sports and NBC News Group Exec VP/Sales & Sales Marketing SETH WINTER, who "has supervised ad sales for all of the company's live programming, will focus more intently on sports, where the company is adding more content." NBCU Chair of Ad Sales & Client Partnerships LINDA YACCARINO said, "In addition to next year’s Summer Olympics in Rio, we also have a watershed year coming up in the 2017-18 upfront as we will have the three biggest properties in media: the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics and the Men’s World Cup on Telemundo, all within four months of each other" (VARIETY.com, 3/25).
