Bills Season-Ticket Sales Up By Nearly 4,000 From '14, Could Approach Record

Bills President Russ Brandon said that the team's season-ticket sales "are up about 4,000 over last year," according to John Kryk of QMI AGENCY. He said the total figure is "now close to 51,000." Brandon said that the team record is "just over 57,000." The Bills have made a splash this offseason, bringing on new coach Rex Ryan, trading for RB LeSean McCoy and signing free agent WR Percy Harvin and TE Charles Clay, but Brandon said that the ticket increase "is not attributable to big-name player signings this month." Brandon:  "We've been pacing very well, actually, since the conclusion of last year. Selling 'seasons' is a year-round business ... and we still have a lot of work yet to do" (QMI AGENCY, 3/24). Brandon said, "The way that ticket sales are going right now, right now we're on a record pace. ... Interest has been very high and our fans have certainly responded." The Bills did not have any games blacked out last year, a policy the NFL is dropping for the '15 season, and Brandon said, "We've been very fortunate. I think the last 15 years we've sold out close to 83 or 84 percent of our games, so our fans have been incredible. It certainly comes with a lot of work on all sides" (ESPN.com, 3/23).
