Overnight Ratings: ACC Finale Up After Move To Saturday Night; "30 For 30" Up From '14

ESPN drew a 2.3 overnight rating for Notre Dame’s first-ever ACC men’s hoops title on Saturday night, with the win over North Carolina up slightly from a 2.2 overnight for Virginia-Duke on a Sunday afternoon last year. This year was the first time the ACC title game aired on a Saturday night since the early ‘80s. Meanwhile, CBS drew a 2.6 overnight for Wisconsin’s OT win over Michigan State in the Big Ten title game yesterday afternoon, up from a 2.4 for Michigan-Michigan State last year. ESPN yesterday drew a 2.0 overnight for the SEC Championship, which saw Kentucky remain undefeated. That figure is down from a 2.1 last year for Kentucky-Florida. Last night, ESPN drew a 1.6 overnight for its traditionally college hoops-themed “30 for 30” documentary following the “Bracketology” show. “I Hate Christian Laettner” was up from a 1.1 overnight for “Requiem For The Big East” in the same 9:00pm ET time slot last year.
