Golf Channel To Air Fourth Installment In "Arnie" Documentary Series Later This Month

Golf Channel has scheduled a fourth installment of its "Arnie" documentary series on Arnold Palmer, which this time will use content submitted by viewers. A new 60-minute episode will debut March 17 at 10:00pm ET, the day before the net's coverage of the PGA Tour Arnold Palmer Invitational. The previous three installments of "Arnie" will lead into the show. Those previous installments produced the most-watched original show in Golf Channel history, averaging 471,000, 341,000 and 320,000 viewers, respectively. The fourth installment will feature stories from celebs such as Broncos QB Peyton Manning, NBC's Al Michaels, Baseball HOFer Johnny Bench, model Kate Upton and PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem. However, the bulk of the episode will focus on stories from "Arnie's Army" -- the name given to the fans who followed Palmer around the golf course. One story comes from Skip Manning, who caught the visor Palmer threw after winning the '60 U.S. Open. Another comes from William Murray, whose dad delayed surgery to play in a pro-am with Palmer. Golf Channel VP/Original Productions Jay Kossoff and Senior Producer James Ponti led the documentary's production.
