Northwestern Football Puts Personal Touch On Videos Seeking Season-Ticket Renewals

Northwestern Univ. football coach Pat Fitzgerald recently "recorded more than 100 personalized video messages that were emailed to season-ticket holders" asking fans to renew their seats, according to Teddy Greenstein of the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. Every season-ticket holder account (nearly 10,000) "will receive a personalized video, phone call or hand-written note from a coach." NU Dir of Media Services Paul Kennedy said, "We wanted to give everyone a personal bit of contact and we asked ourselves: 'How can we do things differently?'" Fitzgerald "spent nearly five hours doing all the videos." Season tickets go on sale today and renewals "go out next week." Northwestern last year drew an average of 38,613 fans to Ryan Field, which seats 47,330 (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 1/28).
