Case Study: New York Life Signs Three-Year Deal To Title-Sponsor ACC Tournament

New York Life has signed a three-year deal to be the title sponsor of the ACC men’s basketball tournament beginning with this year's event at the Greensboro Coliseum. The agreement between New York Life, the ACC, ESPN and Raycom Sports also includes the '16 event at Verizon Center and the '17 tourney at Barclays Center. The deal features entitlement of telecasts across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and Raycom Sports’ syndicated ACC Network as well as significant in-venue branding. Other elements include official designation as an ACC corporate sponsor, the presenting sponsorship of the Legends Program; exposure on the ACC Network’s syndicated telecasts of football and basketball; and exposure on the ACC Digital Network (ACC). In Greensboro, Ed Hardin notes after 62 years, the ACC "will become the last of the major conferences to sell the rights to its marquee event" (Greensboro NEWS & RECORD, 1/7).
