In Las Vegas, Adam Hill reports UFC officials on Saturday announced the "addition of several fight libraries to its offerings on subscription streaming service Fight Pass." Once all the new footage is added, the service is expected to "contain more than 13,000 archived fights." It is expected to "start appearing on Fight Pass in the spring." The service "already includes archived fights from the UFC, Strikeforce, Affliction and Invicta, as well as many live events" (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 1/6).

HAWKS' EYE: In Chicago, Ed Sherman notes CSN Chicago is "experimenting with a new look this week," offering an alternative “Behind The Lens” presentation on CSN Plus. Viewers will be able to "see the games in a quad-box format." The screen will "feature the primary main feed of the game in the upper left-hand box, with the other three boxes presenting a variety of different camera angles the way CSN’s production crew sees the game inside the truck." They include "a number of isolated shots, the scoreboard’s overhead robotic camera, and low angle hand-held cameras among others" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 1/6).

REMOTE TELECAST
: In Fresno, Marek Warszawski noted Saturday night's San Diego State-Fresno State men's basketball game "was televised by ESPNU, but the play-by-play guy and analyst called the action from 3,000 miles away." The game was one of 45 that ESPN this season is calling from its studio instead of live from the game site (FRESNOBEE.com, 1/5).

CURLING IRONS: NBC Sports Group and Universal Sports Network will debut "Curling Night In America," combining to air 24 hours of coverage from the inaugural U.S. Curling Grand Prix on NBCSN and Universal Sports Network. NBCSN will debut its coverage on Friday, Jan. 23, the first of its six Friday episodes that will air through March. Universal Sports Network will premiere "Curling Night In America" coverage beginning Thursday, Jan. 22, and continue through Friday, March 13 (NBC Sports Group).
