Chiefs Selling T-Shirts Supporting Eric Berry, With All Proceeds Going To Charity

The Chiefs have "rallied around" CB Eric Berry, as the All Pro yesterday was officially diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, according to a front-page piece by Terez Paylor of the K.C. STAR. The team's gametime jackets "have been emblazoned with a patch bearing his number," while many players during warm-ups have "been wearing white T-shirts with the slogan 'Be Bold, Be Brave, Be Berry' across the front and Berry's name and number across the back." The shirts were "designed by Chiefs players" and are being sold for $20 at both the team's shop at Arrowhead Stadium and on the team's official website. All proceeds "received by the team and the NFL from sales will be directed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society." Berry has "also received an outpouring of support from around the league," including messages on the official Twitter feeds of AFC West rivals Broncos, Chargers and Raiders (K.C. STAR, 12/9).
