ESPN In July Sees Second-Best Reach Total Ever For Digital Sports Entity In The U.S.

ESPN in July ebbed slightly from its category record-setting performance in June, but still posted 74.8 million unique visitors last month according to comScore Media Metrix Multi-Platform ratings, the second-best reach total ever for a U.S. digital sports entity. With the category's overall traffic boom from the FIFA World Cup winnowing down during the month, the top 11 rankings remained identical to June. The rankings do not yet reflect the pending changes coming from the large-scale digital alliance between Fox Sports and Sporting News Media. ESPN also topped consumption metrics in the category with an average of 84.9 minutes per user last month, down from 90.8 minutes per user during the same month last year.
