Final Ratings: NBCSN Average F1 Audience Up By More Than 200,000 Viewers

NBCSN drew 413,000 viewers for the Austrian Grand Prix last Sunday, which was the first F1 race in the country in 10 years. That figure marks the third-best audience for the cable network since NBC Sports Group acquired rights to the racing circuit prior to the ’13 season. NBC also drew 1.46 million viewers for the June 8 Canada Grand Prix, marking the most-viewed F1 race on U.S. TV in seven years. NBCSN is averaging 377,000 viewers for its six F1 races to date this season, up from 157,000 viewers for five races at the same point last season and up from 300,000 viewers on Speed in ’12. NBCSN’s increase has been primarily fueled by the April 6 Bahrain Grand Prix, which drew a NBCSN-record 594,000 viewers.

The chart below lists final ratings and viewership from recent sports telecasts on broadcast TV.
