Digital Advertising Agency Sq1 Creating Dedicated Sports Division

Dallas-based digital advertising agency Sq1 is creating a new, dedicated sports division following an initial relationship with the Trail Blazers to help boost ticket sales. The firm has hired ERIC DOUST, formerly Senior Dir of National Accounts for the Craft Brew alliance, to be its VP/Global Marketing. He will lead the sports practice out of its Portland office. Sq1 helped the Trail Blazers achieve a 47% boost in its online conversion rate this past season by reconstructing its digital ticket purchasing process to a more simplified format combined with targeted digital marketing, and is now in talks with several other pro teams for similar work. The firm has created a proprietary ticket optimization formula called the Event Ticket Accelerator. "We're all about accountable, transparent marketing, and based on our success with the Trail Blazers, we think there's a great deal of additional opportunity in this space," said Sq1 Partner GABE WINSLOW.
