Executive Transactions

The NBA yesterday announced two exec promotions. Senior VP/Team Marketing & Business Operations AMY BROOKS has been named Exec VP/Team Marketing & Business Operations, while Senior VP/Global Marketing Partnerships EMILIO COLLINS has been named Exec VP/Global Marketing Partnerships. Both will continue to report NBA Deputy Commissioner MARK TATUM. Brooks had been promoted to her previous position last year, replacing CHRIS GRANGER, who became NBA Kings President. She has been with the NBA since '05, while Collins joined the league in '01. Both Brooks ('14) and Collins ('12) have been honored as part of SBJ/SBD's "Forty Under 40" (John Lombardo, Staff Writer).

TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN: Rapids President TIM HINCHEY "agreed to a new three-year deal." Since Hinchey took over in '11, the Rapids have "nearly tripled their season ticket base" from 1,900 to almost 5,300. He "clinched arguably his biggest coup earlier this month when the club signed Ciao Telecom as the club’s first-ever jersey sponsor." Hinchey was "initially approached about an extension in January, but he put off talks while the club finalized" head coach PABLO MASTROENI’s hiring and Technical Dir PAUL BRAVO’s promotion to VP/Soccer Operations (MLSSOCCER.com, 5/13).

EXECS: NBCUniversal named LUIS SILBERWASSER Telemundo Network President, effective in August (NBCU)....USA Basketball named Fox Sports Digital Media Product Manager GREG URBANO Digital Dir, effective next Monday (USA Basketball)....The Suns named Head Pro Personnel Scout BUBBA BURRAGE D-League Bakersfield Jam GM (Suns)....WWE named Showtime Networks Dir of Sports Communications, Sports & Event Programming ANNIE KRUGER Senior Manager of Network PR (THE DAILY)....Bradley Univ. named Drexel Univ. Assistant Sport Management Professor DR. BRETT BURCHETTE Associate AD/External Affairs. He begins June 9 and will have direct oversight of marketing, promotions, ticket operations and the Braves Club, while serving as the department's liaison to the Bradley Sports Properties corporate-sales team (Bradley)....Caldwell College named KRISTINA DANELLA Associate AD and women's basketball coach (Caldwell).
