Samsung will serve as title sponsor of the NBA Summer League, which tips off in July in Orlando and Las Vegas. The deal comes as part of the company's deal to serve as the official handset, tablet and TV provider of the NBA, WNBA and D-League (NBA).

SUBWAY LINE: ESPN N.Y.'s Andrew Marchand noted the Yankees last night at Yankee Stadium "wore white-brimmed caps because of the deal they have with the manufacturer New Era." The team will "be sporting gray-brimmed hats" tomorrow at Citi Field (ESPNNY.com, 5/12).

STUCK ON YOU: In Miami, Joey Flechas notes Panini's FIFA World Cup stickers "are like North American baseball cards but without the statistics" to soccer fans. The stickers have "gained popularity" in the U.S. this year, and collectors have "started swap meets to trade repeats and complete their collections." While this year’s tournament in Brazil is "all the rage right now, older Panini albums still fetch a decent price" (MIAMI HERALD, 5/13).
