Images For "RBI Baseball 14" Show MLBAM Staying True To Video Game's Roots

MLBAM today released its first visuals for its forthcoming revival of classic video game franchise "RBI Baseball." The new "RBI Baseball 14" is slated to be released in early April on the iOS, Android, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms, with versions following soon thereafter for next-gen gaming consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game will be a digital download title, though no pricing details have been released yet. "RBI Baseball 14" will include some additional, premium downloadable content at a later date. Details had been scarce regarding the "RBI Baseball" reboot since MLBAM first announced its intentions in mid-January. The visuals of the new game show a modern styling, but MLBAM is intending to stay true to the roots of what made the original game so popular in the late '80s and early '90s. The original "RBI Baseball" was the first console video game to be licensed by the MLBPA, allowing for real-world player names.
