L.A. Kiss Unveil Uniforms, Helmets Ahead Of Season Opener

The AFL L.A. Kiss yesterday "unveiled uniforms and helmets designed by" Kiss co-Founder Paul Stanley featuring black and silver colors and a flame motif, according to David Montero of the ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER. The event "focused on the hybrid of football and entertainment" ahead of the team's season opener on Saturday. Kiss co-Founder Gene Simmons said the team's style would make other sports "look like a snore." Simmons said, "We're going to have more firepower than most Third World countries." The team at the event "brought out a few players," including QB J.J. Raterink, who "modeled the new uniform with two LA Kiss cheerleaders." Their outfits also were "designed by Stanley." The team said that home games at the Honda Center "would be played on a silver field, with the franchise's signature guitar pick and LA Kiss logo at the center." Stanley also said the band was "working on what he described as 'a battle cry' for the fans at the game" (ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER, 3/11).
