Ordway Returns To Boston Radio With Three-Hour Online Show On New Website

The venue for former WEEI-FM host Glenn Ordway’s "pending return to the Boston sports-talk scene is an entirely new frontier," as he is "launching his own online radio venture" to debut March 17, according to Chad Finn of the BOSTON GLOBE. The website will be named sportstalkboston.com and "will serve as the outlet for Ordway’s three-hour daily online show" from 3:00-6:00pm ET on weekdays. Ordway said, "I know we’re not going to compete with 98.5 (in that 3-6 window). I think we might make some inroads with WEEI, but we’re not going to beat them, either." He said of his return to the air in Boston, "I love doing the national thing. It’s fun, it’s different, the preparation is much different. But this is my town" (BOSTON GLOBE, 2/28). In Boston, Gayle Fee reports the show "re-teams Ordway" with former WEEI Programming Dir Jason Wolfe and Regan Communications Group Exec VP/Sports & Media Julie Kahn, "who previously headed Entercom Boston." Wolfe and Kahn are "both working with Ordway now," along with former WEEI Producer Steve Ciaccio, who is "promoting the show as part of his gig at Regan Communications" (BOSTON HERALD, 2/28).
