Grizzlies Adjust Ticket Pricing Structure At FedExForum, With Many Decreasing

The Grizzlies yesterday restructured ticket prices, and fans will "see increases in high-demand areas, but more than 10,000 seats in the 18,119-seat FedExForum were not affected or saw prices decrease," according to Ronald Tillery of the Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL. Ticket price increases "average less than 5 percent," and one of the "few blanket increases will have people used to paying $5 for a ticket forking over $7." An example of the "modest restructuring looks like this: The entire section behind each basket was priced at $58." Those sections now are "divided into three different price points." There also is a "slight increase in the first eight rows but the higher you go in that section the less you pay." Grizzlies VP/Ticket Sales & Service Dennis O'Connor said, “We’re just getting smarter. This year, we took a more analytical approach than we have in the past. We took a seat-by-seat and row-by-row look. We think it’ll be easier to upgrade over time.” Fans who "renew season tickets in full by March 14" will receive a 5% discount (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 2/26).
