Entertainment Weekly named SI.com Managing Editor MATT BEAN Editor. Bean "introduced efforts such as the live daily talk show 'SI Now' and a section on the site dedicated to long-form storytelling." SI "will seek a successor" for Bean, and in the meantime, Time Inc. Sports Group Editor PAUL FICHTENBAUM and SI.com Assistant Managing Editor RYAN HUNT "will handle the magazine's digital operations" (ADAGE.com, 2/10).

: The Texans named former Dolphins Assistant GM BRIAN GAINE Dir of Pro Personnel. Gaine was a candidate to become Dolphins GM “after spending six years in the Dolphins’ personnel department.” Dolphins GM DENNIS HICKEY “fired Gaine" after he replaced former GM JEFF IRELAND (CHRON.com, 2/10)….The Redskins hired former NFLer DOUG WILLIAMS as a front-office personnel exec (NFL.com, 2/10). Williams “will have a crossover role” helping Dir of Pro Personnel MOROCCO BROWN and Dir of Player Personnel SCOTT CAMPBELL, who focuses on college players (ESPN.com, 2/10).
