Univ. of Hartford AD PAT MEISER “will retire effective July 31” after 21 years at the school. She is “one of just 30 female ADs” in D-I. There had been a “general expectation that this would be the final year for Meiser.” Sources “over the past several months described conflicts within the athletic department.” Meiser said, “I will tell you I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.” UH said that a national search for the next AD “will begin immediately.” The new hire “will almost certainly come from the outside” (HARTFORD COURANT, 2/5).

AIR JORDAN: The NBA named McKinsey & Co. Associate Principal JORDAN SOLOMON VP/Team Marketing & Business Operations. Solomon will oversee a handful of teams, as well as the NBA’s strategy and analytics group. Solomon was with McKinsey for eight years, most recently working with the company’s sales and marketing practice (Austin Karp, Assistant Managing Editor).

EXECS: U.S. Bowling Congress Exec Dir STU UPSON has resigned, effective immediately. The USBC will name an interim Exec Dir in the coming days and will conduct a national search for a permanent replacement (USBC)....The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference named UMass professor and Sports Lawyers Association President GLENN WONG Legal Counsel (MAAC).
