Former Univ. of Georgia AD DAMON EVANS, who joined IMG College last year to head up a new division assisting schools with fundraising, is leaving to become a partner at Evolution Sports Partners. Evans will team with partners TRACY HOWE and PETER KRAFT to provide strategic planning on division reclassifications, feasibility studies and organizational assessments to college and pro sports entities, among other offerings (Michael Smith, Staff Writer)....Binary Event Network, a N.Y.-based developer of second screen experiences for live events, has hired former USA Today Sports Media Group and MLS exec AMANDA ANGELINI as President. The company also closed on a $1.875M round of angel financing, led by Broadhaven Capital Partners. BEN recently released the Pivit mobile application (Eric Fisher, Staff Writer)....Del Mar Thoroughbred Club named Golden Gate Fields Racing Secretary DAVID JERKENS to the same position, starting in June (DRF.com, 1/30).
