Pick Your Side: ESPN To Hold Twitter Vote Friday For Fans' Super Bowl Picks

ESPN on Friday will hold an all-day live Twitter vote on fans' pick to win Super Bowl XLVIII, with the winner revealed live during the 6:00pm ET "SportsCenter" that evening and the winning team's colors illuminated on the Empire State Building in N.Y. Representing ESPN's largest hashtag battle to date, the Super Bowl fan vote will be promoted across the company's various platforms and social media extensions, and carries a sponsorship with Verizon tied to the company's #WhosGonnaWin campaign. "We love letting the fans have a voice in big moments, big events, and this is an effort by to us to build upon some of our prior all-day fan votes and the kinds of things we do on programs like 'SportsNation,'" said ESPN VP/Games & Partnerships Raphael Poplock. The effort also features ESPN.com's first socially enabled, co-branded ad unit with a collapsible module on the home page.
