Beginning To Bloom: British Airways Signs Justin Rose To Three-Year Deal

Golfer Justin Rose has signed a three-year deal with British Airways in which he will "front campaigns for the airline's global marketing activity," according to Sebastian Joseph of MARKETING WEEK. Rose will "appear in campaigns promoting the airline's golf holiday packages" and will "front activity for the airline's charity initiative Flying Smart with Comic Relief." He also will make "personal appearances and appear at internal engagement functions." Rose with the first round of The Masters on Thursday began wearing a British Airways logo on his shirt collar. The airline "hopes to exploit the rising profile of Rose" (MARKETINGWEEK.co.uk, 4/11).

GREEN WITH ENVY? In L.A., Bill Dwyre writes PGAer Rickie Fowler’s “green, a shirt-and-pants outfit he wore during the first round here Thursday, is a jarring tone of faded emerald overdosed in yellow.” Reports that “headache pills were handed out in his gallery proved to be unfounded” (L.A. TIMES, 4/12).
