In Boston, Christopher Muther noted Celtics G RAJON RONDO was at the N.Y. offices of GQ magazine during Fashion Week “for several days working as an intern -- unpaid -- to learn more about fashion.” Rondo said, “This is something I’ve always been into. I’m just here to learn new things, network, and meet people in the fashion business, and have fun doing it.” In his "short time at GQ (he interned for less than a week), he packed boxes of clothes to be shipped off for a photo shoot” in L.A. and “walked through fashion showrooms and met with designers such as BILLY REID and MICHAEL BASTIAN” (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/16).

AWARDS, HONORS & CONGRATS: The Padres on Saturday celebrated Broadcasting HOFer JERRY COLEMAN’s 88th birthday “by unveiling a statue of the San Diego treasure at the East Village entrance" to Petco Park.
