Longtime New Orleans Times-Picayune sports columnist PETER FINNEY is among the 201 employees who will be let go by Sept. 30 as part of a 32% cut to staff. However, Times-Picayune Editor JIM AMOSS said that Finney “has been asked to write a sports column on a freelance basis.” Finney joined the paper in ’45 (NOLA.com, 6/12). Times-Picayune writer MIKE TRIPLETT wrote on his Twitter feed, “One way or another I know it's a priority for Peter Finney to be a part of the T-P and nola sports coverage for as long as possible" (TWITTER.com, 6/12).

Raclin will report directly to Turnkey President HAYNES HENDRICKSON (Turnkey).
