Overnight Ratings: ESPN Up With Italy-Spain Match; Sharapova Win Flat

ESPN's Game Seven of the Heat-Celtics series led all weekend sports overnight Nielsen ratings. The net also saw a strong number yesterday for the Spain-Italy UEFA Euro 2012 match. The 1.7 rating for the game was higher than any overnight during the '08 tournament, excluding the final on ABC. TNT aired its first of six NASCAR Sprint Cup Series telecasts yesterday, earning a 3.2 overnight for Joey Logano's win at the Pocono 400. That figure is up 7% from a 3.0 overnight for each of the last two years. NBC earned a 1.7 overnight for Maria Sharapova's win over Sara Errani at the French Open on Saturday morning. That figure is flat compared to last year's women's final, which saw Li Na defeat Francesca Schiavone. NBC's Rafael Nadal-Novak Djokovic men's final yesterday, which was suspended due to rain, averaged a 2.0 overnight. The match was averaged a a 2.4 overnight before the first rain delay. Last year's final, which saw Nadal defeat Federer, earned a 2.6 overnight.
