Brewers File Suit Against Sponsor Yes Vodka Parent Company For Sponsorship Payments

The Brewers have sued Illinois-based Pure Spirits Worldwide Inc., the parent company of Yes Vodka, "seeking payments for Yes Vodka's sponsorship deal at Miller Park," according to Rich Kirchen of the MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. The club alleges that Pure Spirits Worldwide "agreed to be a sponsor during games at Miller Park" for the '11 and '12 seasons, and Yes Vodka was to get "signage at the stadium and promotional rights." The Brewers charged $2,402 for "producing the signs." The suit states that the company was to pay $50,000 in '11 and $52,500 in '12, but that the company is "delinquent on the payments." The team is seeking $71,569 plus attorney's fees. The Brewers also "recently sued another sponsor," Wisconsin-based Great Lakes Quick Lube, a Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchise that has "had a presence at Miller Park for numerous seasons with in-game promotions" (MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/30 issue).
